The funny bone

"Matrimonial sites" is both a entertaining and an enlightening experience. It's a true reflection of the state of our society which i donno whether i was luckily or unlickily missing out on for quite some time. And now, after i have been literraly dragged into this marriage arranging funda of life, i can't resist myself to post some of the Kodak Moements of my experience so far!

{rant begins}
While there is nothing inherantly wrong with the concept, it gets absurd when people who simply have either no idea about themselves or the people who have a very pricely idea about themselves fill up the "about me" and the "partner preference" sections of the profile. it is sometimes so so funny that you don't know whether to laugh or to un-subscribe from the site!!! I sometimes feel, people just blindfoldedly send interests to every single girl profile they find on the site..hoping to get a response just by chance :)

Now since the rant is over, let's get into some serious..i mean funny stuff here :)

hahaha, some points to ponder

• The expectations: If a woman is professional, can she also be homely? And if she is homely, can she also be outgoing? And if she is outgoing, can she also be reserved? And if she is reserved, can she also be fiendly? And if she is friendly, can she also be traditional? and if she is traditional, can she also be fun-loving? And if she is fun-loving can she also be religious? And if she is religious, can she also be rational? - probably yes but the way of expecting is a bit oxy-moronous and not quite reasonable.
• The No-Photo profiles: Comeon people- Do you seriously want to get something constructive out of this??
• The Photos: Sometimes you wonder, are you looking at the same person in the 2 different photos of his profile album :P
• The No-Income profiles: well, pls accept that it's really not practical to guess a salary based on the facts that "My brother is a medical doctor, my father is an engineer, my sister is a software professional, my uncle is an accountant and a green card holder, my aunt is a professor"
• The single liners: The about-me is almost blank..and the expectations are zero..wow!! what else could you ask for... :) the anonymous groom hahahaha!!!
• and The essays: The about-me is an autobiography...and funny thing is that it still misses on the crucial things such as what you do?? and sometimes, people (may be out of frustration) put their entire resume not even to miss the project details !!!!
• the funny terminology: "Congratulations! abc_xyz has expressed interest in you" congratulations!! for what huh??? "Good News!!! abc_xyz have accepted your interest" oh my God!! i should give myself a treat for such a good news hahahaha!!!
